Love Island fans SLAM girls for ‘double standards’ after Maura rages about Curtis not wanting sex

Love Island viewers SLAM the girls for their ‘double standards’ after Maura rages about Curtis refusing to have sex with her while Molly-Mae insists she should have ‘kicked him out of bed’

Love Island fans flocked to Twitter during Thursday night’s episode of the show to blast the girls of the villa for having ‘double standards’, after Curtis refused to have sex with Maura.

In an earlier scene, as the other Islanders settled into their beds for the night, Maura was seen writhing around on top of Curtis under the covers, clearly keen to consummate their relationship.

Yet Curtis’ reply was that the time wasn’t right and that he had a headache.

This did not go down well with the feisty Irishwoman who was seen the next day complaining to the other girls, who appeared outraged about it.

‘If I was laying it on Tommy and he was giving me nothing, I would have kicked him out of the bed,’ Molly-Mae said, referring to her beau.

Po-faced, Maura complained she ‘just wanted an orgasm’ and for Curtis to ‘drip all over her’.

While this mortified viewers on it’s own, the public were more outraged at the girls’ attitude to sex, with many claiming that, had the boys been speaking that way about a woman who didn’t want to have sex, it would have been branded sexist and disrespectful.

‘ARE YOU LOT HEARING THIS? On my life if the lads were having this conversation Girl Power would be exploding,’ one person raged.

‘We can’t mouth off about men not taking “No” for an answer and then kick off when they say “No” to us. Respect the “NO”,’ another posted.

A third wrote: ‘”I have needs”, that’s the rank excuse scumbag guys use. If guys had the “id be livid if she didn’t f**k me” mentality there would be outrage. These girls are rank.’

‘Imagine the reaction if Curtis was having a tantrum because Maura wouldn’t have sex with him? Double standards,’ another person tweeted.

‘Curtis doesn’t owe Maura an explanation for why he doesn’t wanna have sex. Maura wouldn’t have to give an explanations so why does Curtis?’ a fifth added.

A sixth tweeter posted: ‘The double standards with what Maura gets away with makes me very uncomfortable!’

‘Now let’s imagine this is a lad saying this stuff about not getting sex! Love island would be getting investigated and men turfed out!’ someone else added.

Followed by another who tweeted: ‘Maura really showing double standards, nobody should have to explain why they’ve said no.’

Unsurprisingly, another brought up the incident earlier in the season when ex-Islander Tom made a crude comment about Maura being ‘all mouth’.

They penned: ‘Sorry but the way Maura DESTROYED Tom just for making a joke (yes it was inappropriate but it wasn’t malicious) only to then actually have a go at Curtis because he didn’t want sex. Leave me out with those f**king double standards Maura – biggest hypocrite in there.’
