Love Island: Tommy shocks fans by recoupling with Molly-Mae… as least compatible couple will be DROPPED from the villa

Love Island‘s Tommy Fury surprised fans by recoupling with Molly-Mae as the least compatible couple will be dropped from the villa.

The boxer, who previously claimed his head had done a 560 degree turn for the grid girl Maura, decided to play safe and choose his original partner Molly-Mae.

As a result, Maura was left without a man so both she and fellow singleton Anna will head on a date with the two new boys Tom Walker, 29, and Jordan Hames, 24 during Monday’s episode.

Viewers raised their eyebrows when Tommy had a change of heart once again when he opted to go with his ‘gut’ in choosing Molly-Mae over the outrageously flirtatious Maura.

He said of Molly-Mae: ‘Ever since she walked into the villa, she lit up these big blue eyes. I’m more intrigued to find out more about her.

‘There was an instant connection. I have to go with my gut.’

Anton followed his heart, rather than his head, when he cherry picked to couple up with new girl Elma.

Clearly upset, the Scottish hunk rushed to comfort his close friend Anna and kiss her on the cheek before he brought his new partner to the seating area.

Discussing their connection, Anton said of Elma: ‘Ever since our first conversation, I feel like we just clicked.

‘She’s easy to talk to, funny, and to be honest, she’s a little bit crazy like myself. She’s got a gorgeous face and she has an amazing personality and she brings a lot to the villa. She’s made me feel so special.’

After a rocky few days in the villa, besotted Joe still opted to cherry pick Lucie as his summer soulmate.

The hunk set aside his jealousy over her blossoming friendship with Tommy when he admitted the surfer babe makes him the ‘happiest and luckiest dude in the world’.

Joe had infuriated fans of the show with his ‘overbearing’ jealousy and his joke in poor taste that he should pick Molly-Mae because they were ‘both f*****’.

He said: ‘I don’t think we’ve [me and Lucie] have had the easiest ride at all. I know after the few days I’ve had my doubts, but she makes me smile.

‘I feel like the happiest and luckiest dude in this world. Hopefully it’ll all work out.’

Partnered up since he stormed the villa, it’s no surprise smitten Curtis chose to recouple with his airhostess ‘half-girlfriend’ Amy.

While the couple weren’t ready to go official just yet, the duo agreed to go exclusive when they were the first couple to spend alone time in the Hideaway together.

He said: ‘She is absolutely amazing. She’s beautiful one of a kind every room, she lightens the atmosphere and I love spending all of my time in the villa with her.’
