She decided to leave the villa after she was left heartbroken by ex Curtis Pritchard.

And Amy Hart reveals it would have ‘absolutely killed her’ to see him ‘cracking on with Maura Higgins’ if she had chosen to stay in the Love Island villa.

Speaking on Heart Breakfast with JK and Kelly Brook on Friday, the reality star, 26, admitted she would have ‘never got over’ ballroom dancer Curtis if she had remained on the dating show.

She said: ‘I would never, ever got over it. I properly, properly fell in love so I would never have got over that in three weeks.

‘It would have absolutely killed me to watch him cracking on.

‘The last few weeks has been really hard with people texting me saying “this has happened with Curtis” and it has been really difficult because obviously nobody wants to see that’.

But Amy, who has taken the world by storm since flying back from Mallorca, admitted her heartbreak is beginning to heal and even feels ‘happy’ for Curtis and new love interest Maura.

She said: ‘I met Emily Atack at the ITV summer party and she said to me, “I promise you one day you’re just going to wake up and not care anymore and you will get over this heartbreak” and I think I have now.

‘I’ve started to watch clips of Maura and Curtis and I’m really happy for them. And I have been happy for them the whole time but it’s easier to watch now.’

Amy even discussed Curtis and Maura’s ‘identical’ date to the one she and the dancer shared while in a romantic couple.

The professional dancer, 23, and Irish grid girl, 28, had a romantic al fresco dinner and dance the afternoon away.

And skeptical and eagle-eyed fans soon realised that the dancer had ‘recreated’ his date with ex Amy.

Amy said: ‘She even wore orange didn’t she which is something I wore to the date!

‘Having watched it I thought it was just me that he didn’t want to be open to but obviously he’s just not that kind of person because Maura did say to him “I really really like you” and he said “I don’t know what to say to that”.

‘He used to say that to me so it makes me feel a bit better.’

Amy and Curtis’ romance ground to halt weeks ago after he admitted to having his head turned in Casa Amor by Jourdan, and eventually led the air hostess to quit the villa following days of emotional turmoil.

Amy decided it would be too hard to live with Curtis – and to watch him flirt with new love interest Maura – and that she felt it best she went home.

Curtis and new flame Maura went on to take their relationship up a notch this week and in risqué scenes, the ballroom dancer talked dirty to the grid girl as they got hot and heavy between the sheets outside.

And Thursday’s episode saw Curtis reject Maura’s advances and tell her ‘tonight’s not the night’ as they writhed under the sheets.
