Love Island’s Jordan and Michael play hilarious prank on the girls in secret footage

Life in the Love Island villa has been very tense of late, what with a recent dumping, a break-up (and swift make-up) and the ongoing Michael and Amber drama.

But amid all the drama, Islanders Micheal Griffiths, 27, and Jordan Hames, 23, left the girls terrified as they played a hilarious prank in secret footage shared on the ITV2 show’s social media pages on Thursday.

The video, which saw the pranksters hiding and jumping out to scare the girls, prompted comments from fans begging bosses to air more light-hearted scenes in the main show.

The clip, which was filmed on one of the islanders’ phones, showed model Jordan crouching down beside the door and waiting to pounce.

It then showed the star jumping out and scaring several of the girls including his girl Anna Vikali, recently departed Joanna Chimonides, Francesca Allen and Molly-Mae Hague.

And while those ladies were left jumping out of their skins, Amber Gill was not so affected as she simply stared blankly at her pal, before breaking into a smile.

However, unbeknownst to her, Michael was also in on the prank and lay in wait behind a curtain.

The firefighter soon left Amber unnerved as he jumped out from behind the curtain to scare her in a hilarious moment.

Her best pal Anna was also left terrified once again as Michael scared her too, causing the pharmacist to scream and run across the room.

The funny behind-the-scenes clips left viewers very amused, with many calling out producers for failing to air more light-hearted scenes on the main show.

Fans are often treated to scenes showing the lighter side of the villa in Saturday’s unseen bits episode, with the more serious drama reserved for the rest of the week.

Commenting on the clip, viewers aired their thoughts, with one writing: ‘Why can’t we see more of this stuff on the main show? It doesn’t need to be drama all the time.’

While another remarked: ‘Why arent we seeing this silly stuff on the evening shows instead of the “can i have a chat” where has all the fun gone ??.?’

‘This is why the Saturday show is the best one. No drama just fun’, said a third watcher.

With another adding: ‘Why oh why don’t we get to see stuff like this in the normal daily episodes, it more entertaining than just constant drama and provoked drama that seems set up to the viewing audience, we like to see the fun stuff aswell.’

This comes amid the drama outside the villa as recently dumped islander Joanna hit out at beau Michael for declaring that he still likes his ex Amber.

The reality star, 22, branded Michael a ‘snake’ and firmly ruled out the possibility of reuniting with the firefighter, whom she says is playing a game.

In Thursday’s upcoming episode, Michael tells Amber: ‘I’m just letting you know that yeah I do still like you’ – in a chat that comes shortly before he chooses to kiss her during a challenge.

Joanna told The Sun: ‘I had a gut feeling something was still there but I never expected after just two days he would go straight back to Amber, I want to have a chat with him when he comes out – for me if he does go full steam ahead with Amber then it would be good to get things out of the way with him.

‘Now, he’s pointed the finger at me when I couldn’t move forward with him because I knew he wasn’t being honest, I told him it was best to communicate and tell people how you’re feeling.

‘It’s out of sight out of mind for him and that’s the theory he’s playing on, everyone had a go at me for calling him a snake but actually now they get why.’

Joanna went onto say if Michael had remained single in the villa, then she would have waited for him to see if they could pursue a romance in the outside.

But the firefighter’s sudden U-turn in regards to his feelings for Amber has left Joanna confused as to whether he is ‘playing a game’.

On Thursday’s show, Amber, 21, is left confused by Michael’s revelation, which comes shortly after she went on a date with new hunk Greg O’Shea and Joanna’s dumping.

She told Michael: ‘I don’t get it then, if you liked me the whole time, why did you do that?’

Following their chat, the boys compete to be named the villa’s buffest builder where they try to deliver the sexiest performance around a construction-style course.

As the boys are made to kiss the girls, Greg remains respectful and kisses Amber on the cheek, to which she says: ‘I wouldn’t have minded if Greg had kissed me!’

Michael however makes his intentions known as he grabs the stunner for an extremely passionate kiss – much to their shock.

Love Island continues Thursday at 9pm, on ITV2.
