Lucy Spraggan reveals her incredible weight loss after ditching the booze… as X Factor star takes a swipe at James Arthur and admits she’s ready to adopt her THIRTEENTH child

Former X Factor star Lucy Spraggan admitted she was forced to give up the booze in a bid to lose weight after revealing her incredible body transformation on Tuesday morning. 

The singer looked notably slimmer, fitter and healthier while promoting fifth album Today Was A Good Day on the latest edition of daily breakfast show Lorraine. 

Reflecting on her appearance, Lucy, 28, admitted she had to make a number of lifestyle adjustments in order to slim down, among them her alcohol intake.

‘I ditched the beer, biscuits and bread quite a while ago,’ she told host Christine Lampard. 

‘I am good at doing things to an excess, I am not drinking at all at the moment so that makes a big difference. I had to knock them on the head.’   

The singer, who found fame after appearing on the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, admitted her physical transformation has had a positive effect on her mental health.

‘I feel much better, I was in a really bad place for quite a long time, I have always been very open about it,’ she said. 

‘I think looking back at pictures of me before, physically I can see I was in a really bad place.’
