The reality star – who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2010 – gushed she’s content with her baby joy after getting years of ‘travelling and partying’ out of her system.
While Lydia is pleased to become a first-time mother, the pregnant star confirmed she’s split from her long-term partner Lee, after being in a relationship for more than two years.
On their recent break-up, the blonde shared in this week’s Hello magazine:: ‘It’s not the ideal situation. I waited quite a long time to try for a baby, waited until I thought it was perfect. I’ve always wanted the fairytale.’
Lydia – who hasn’t revealed the reason behind their separation – admitted she’s not ‘closing the door’ on their romance completely.

She explained: ‘I feel like I just keep getting knocked back. I can’t beg somebody to be with me, and I can’t beg somebody to love me.’
Their split may come as a surprise to fans, as the former couple were last pictured together at a restaurant opening in London on August 8.
Lydia and Lee briefly separated in January, which came just weeks after they discussed marriage and baby plans.
Announcing their shock break-up, The Jump star said on Instagram at the time: ‘Sometimes relationships don’t work out but having time away to reflect on how lucky I am in my life, what I have achieved and who I have around me fills my heart with so much love.

‘Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. Here is to my next chapter.’
In April, the pair rekindled their romance, with Lydia previously joking they reconciled after he ‘realised I was the best thing that ever happened to him.’
The Celebrity Haunted Mansion star revealed the pair were stronger than ever as she admitted she is ‘dangerously, obsessively in love’ with her garage owner beau, and knew he was ‘The One’ the moment they met.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at Polo at the Manor at the Celtic Manor Resort in June, Lydia discussed her future plans for marriage and children and says she’s already dreaming of her wedding day.
Lydia told MailOnline: ‘With Lee, I was straight away obsessed in love with him. We always say we have a dangerous love.
‘We’d be together the whole time and that’s made my mind up [that he’s The One]!
‘I’d love to get married! It’s not really for me to decide, that’s all down to him. I would love to get married. I think most girls dream of being married. We dream of our wedding day.’
Her mother and former TOWIE co-star, Debbie Douglas, and her tiler father Dave Bright, have fostered more than 250 children in 22 years, which she admitted has made her yearn for her own big family in the future.
She explained she wants to have children close in age like her and older sister Georgia, 30, so she will have one child after another when the time is right.
Lydia told MailOnline at the event, sponsored by Motorpoint: ‘I want a big family because I’m from a big family.
‘I really want children close in age, like me and my sister as there are just 13 months between us. I like that, she’s my BFF as well. When I do have a big family, I’ll do it one after the other.’
Lydia and Lee’s love story goes back until the summer of 2017 where they first crossed paths at a nightclub in Ibiza. As their love flourished, the couple bought a house together the following year.
