He’s called it his ‘dream job’ and it’s no wonder why.

Matthew ‘J’ Johnson has revealed that his new role as the host of Luxury Escapes includes some serious perks – including $8000 a night hotels. 

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 32-year-old said: ‘I think the most expensive place we went was between $7000 and $8000 per night in Tokyo,’ he said.

Matty went on to reveal that he’s made some of the more pricey suggestions that were shown on the program. 

‘It was definitely top-shelf – and while we were there we also dabbled in super yachts and Ferraris, pretty much anything that was the epitome of luxury,’ he said. 

The former Bachelor star added: ‘I threw out a lot of suggestions and thankfully a lot of them stuck’.

In the first episode of the Channel 10 program showed the former reality star swanning around an upmarket Japanese resort.

In a post shared to Instagram, the former reality star described the new presenting role as a ‘dream come true’.

‘Say hello to the new host of Luxury Escapes! The last few months have been an absolute dream come true after travelling to some of the most incredible places all across the world,’ the former marketing manager wrote in the caption.  

In the accompanying teaser video, Matty was seen exploring a number of amazing destinations.  

Former Great Outdoors host Sophie Falkiner also appears alongside the hunk, with the pair visiting 19 destinations in total- including New York, South Africa and the desert dunes of Abu Dhabi.
