‘If we went our separate ways I’d go back on The Bachelor!’ Matty Johnson says he’d return to reality TV to find love if he split with Laura Byrne – who is expecting their baby any day now
His heavily pregnant partner Laura Byrne, who he first met while filming The Bachelor in 2017, is expecting their first child together.
But on Friday, Matty Johnson was contemplating what he might do is the pair ever split up, and his answer was clear – go back on The Bachelor!
Appearing on Nova96.9’s Weekend Breakfast with Matt, Sarah and Matty J, the former reality star was asked if he would return to TV to find love.

‘Hypothetically, if Laura and I would go separate ways, the only show I would go back on is The Bachelor,’ the 31-year-old confessed.
His reasoning was that The Bachelor is geared towards matchmaking, while other reality shows focus on ‘fame’ or ‘drama’ and require less romantic stamina.
‘It’s the only one that works. Rather than being there to cause drama. It’s like running a marathon. It’s hard work, it’s exhausting,’ he said.

Matty however concluded that he would ‘probably not’ return to reality TV.
It’s also the last thing on his mind right now, as he’s due to become a father for the first time any day now.
His fiancée Laura, 32, currently several days overdue, after passing her June 8 due date with no sign of her little one making their arrival, despite her efforts using various tricks to induce labour.
Soon! However it’s the last thing on his mind as Laura, who Matty first met while filming The Bachelor in 2017, is expecting their first child together any day now, and is already overdue
She recently told Who magazine that she and Matty are looking forward to meeting their baby and said: ‘Emotionally and mentally, we’re both so ready.’
The couple have chosen not to find out the sex of their baby during Laura’s pregnancy – instead wanting the gender to be a surprise at the birth.
