However Michelle Keegan has revealed that she has had to ‘retrain’ her husband Mark Wright around the house since he moved back home to the UK full time.

During an interview on Heart Breakfast, the actress, 32, poked fun at the other half as she branded his domestic habits ‘lazy’ and admitted he often leaves his dirty pants on the floor.

Mark surprised Michelle by appearing on the show during a phone in, while she chatted about her latest TV project Brassic and played a game of Would You Rather.

When radio host Jamie Theakston asked Michelle what she couldn’t live without between Mark and her phone, she said: ‘It’s going to have to be Mark intit? He’ll be listening somewhere.’

Seconds later Mark’s voice could be heard on the line as he commended Michelle for her answer, before she revealed she was actually going to chose her phone.

The couple enjoyed a brief chit chat and Michelle asked her husband how his morning run was, but he slipped up and confessed he had also had breakfast which he was supposed to be waiting for her for.

Following Mark’s admission, Michelle playfully joked: ‘I see what’s happening now, look you caused a row now getting him on the show.’

Jamie continued by asking Michelle how things had been between the couple and if Mark had been getting under her feet since he moved back home.

She said: ‘No I’ve had to sort of re train him around the house again. He sorta got a bit lazy when he got back. But he’s alright, he’s alright.’

When quizzed over whether her beau leaves his pants on the floor, she quipped: ‘Yes he just steps out of them and leaves them and gets in to bed.’

Mark was given the opportunity to defend himself and said: ‘Michelle, I’m going to ask you a question now. Who is more house proud, you or me? Now be honest.’

Michelle replied: ‘I’d say you’ve got more OCD but I’m the better cook. I clean up after you a lot more than you clean up after me.’

Clearly unhappy with his wife’s answer, Mark finished the chat by saying: ‘If she’s going to tell fibs I’m going. Have a good morning guys. Bye.’

Later in the day, Michelle also made a stylish appearance on This Morning, as she continued to promote her latest TV role.

During the chat with Rochelle Humes and Eamonn Holmes, the star confirmed that a second series had already been commissioned, but admitted she does find it off that all of her TV roles in the past four years have involved appearing alongside men.

She explained: ‘I’ve worked with predominantly men, I never feel like an outcast, they’re just my mates I get on really well.’

When asked whether she notices the so-called ‘North/South divide’ with her husband Mark, she said: ‘I don’t feel the divide, the only thing he does when we go pie and mash he goes for liquor and I go for the gravy. I look at him and go ”how can you put that green stuff on it? Pie is made for gravy!”

Tune into Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Lucy Horobin (in for Amanda Holden) weekdays from 6am – 10am
