Hello girls! New Bachelor Matt Agnew poses shirtless for sexy photoshoot as he admits to ramping up his fitness regime because ‘he knew he’d be seeing himself on the back of buses’
He’s the handsome astrophysicist who is set to grace screens as the seventh Australian Bachelor.
And ahead of the show’s debut, Matt Agnew has posed shirtless in Monday’s NW magazine.
The 31-year-old admitted to ‘ramping up’ his fitness regime in the lead-up to the photoshoot.
‘I knew I’d be seeing myself on the back of buses’: New Bachelor Matt Agnew, 31, ‘ramped up’ his fitness regime ahead of going shirtless for a photo shoot with NW magazine
‘I’ve always been into fitness I think, going into filming the show, I knew I’d be seeing myself on the back of buses – and shirtless in mags! So I ramped up the cardio and lifting workouts,’ Matt told NW.
One photo sees Matt lounging on a brown leather sofa in just a pair of dark jeans.
His six-pack abs are visible and he flashes his mega-watt smile.
A second shot sees Matt sporting his signature black-rimmed spectacles, and looking deep in thought as he sits on the arm of the couch.

Elsewhere in the interview, Matt said he’s unsure as to why he’s single.
‘I don’t have a good answer for this! I wish I knew,’ he admitted. ‘If I did, I wouldn’t be on the show.’
‘I guess it’s been a case of unfortunate timing because I’ve travelled around the world for work and been quite focused on my career.’
The casting of Matt is a departure from previous Bachelors, and he is the first university academic to front the series.

A Channel 10 insider revealed in March that executives had deliberately chosen a non-famous candidate to ‘refresh’ the franchise.
‘The novelty of watching a celebrity search for love has worn off and producers figured that out pretty quickly after Nick Cummins’ finale,’ the source said.
‘Matt is a normal, decent guy who is genuinely looking to meet someone.
‘Producers see this as a way of giving the public what they failed to give them last year – a happily ever after!’
The Bachelor premieres Wednesday, July 31 at 7:30pm on Channel 10
