Grant Denyer has revealed he’s finally out of hospital, nearly two months after he was injured on his family farm.

The Dancing With The Star co-host is now resting at home with his family, after he suffered an Annular Fissure (torn disc) in March.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 41-year-old shared his delight to be in his own bed and surrounded by family.

‘I’m home!! Nothing compares to sleeping in your own bed.. and these smiling faces!’ he wrote.

‘So good to be home after what feels like an eternity away, in and out of hospitals, injured and in pain.’

He then thanked his doctors: ‘Big thanks to Dr Mark Haran from Arcadia Physiotherapy Hospital for looking after me this past week and a bit.’

‘Now I get a few days rest, hugging the hell out of my family before heading back to work on @2DayFmbreakfast next Monday!’ the post concluded.

‘Not real fair, but then that is life. At least we now know what we’re dealing with now. Annular Fissure or ruptured / torn disc,’ Chezzi wrote on Instagram at the time.

‘It’s been quite a number of years since I’ve seen my hubby in so much pain.. OUCH! A big thanks to everyone for all the beautiful well wishes.

‘We will get there and until then, know we’re so grateful for all the love! And I should add, this was not a racing accident. Grant has been hammering in some stakes down our paddock to hold up new trees that were blowing in the wind when it happened!’

Grant was later forced to pull out of his Dancing With The Stars hosting duties due to his injury, and he later revealed on his 2DayFM breakfast show exactly how the accident occurred.

‘I was down the paddock mate with my Akubra on, my flannos’ [flannelette shirt], just slamming away on a star picket with a huge sledgehammer and twang – away it went,’ Grant told listeners.

Grant’s co-host Ed Kavalee then asked: ‘So, you were trying to hammer something into the ground with a mallet?’

‘Yes. I’m trying to grow some trees and these trees need to be held up by posts,’  Grant replied.
