She is set to join the cast of TOWIE in the upcoming series on Sunday, after previously enjoying a cameo during the last season of the show.

And Olivia Attwood has revealed during a chat with MailOnline that things have already kicked off on the programme, as she discusses fake friendships, not trusting her boyfriend and revealing who the real queen of Essex is.

The Love Island star, 28, said she was ‘excited’ to join the show and admitted joining the hit ITVBe programme has been a long time coming, as she discussed how her new position on the show will affect her relationship with beau Bradley Dack.

Olivia, who revealed that Bradley may appear in the occasional cameo on the show but cannot commit full time due to his job as a footballer, claimed that she isn’t worried that her place on the show will change her relationship.

She said: ‘It not going to change anything, we’re at home in Manchester but I’ve always have a place in London or Essex for work. So it’s kind of the same, when I’m filming in London and when I’m not ill just be with him.’

Despite claiming that the distance won’t rock their relationship, she admitted that she could never trust her boyfriend 100 per cent.

The reality star said: ‘I feel like with men that they’re built a bit differently to us and their line is slightly different to us. Not all men, as I know girls that cheat. But I think their mentality is different to ours.

‘I think humans are flawed we’re programmed to make mistakes so I’d never say I trust him 1000 per cent, he’s as capable of doing something as am I. I think he does trust me but we keep each other on our toes, let’s just say that.’

The former Motorsport Grid Girl even admitted that she could see herself doing a couple’s reality show in the future, before confessing that her and ex Chris Hughes weren’t ‘solid’ enough for it to  work.

Discussing the strain it had on them, she said: ‘Obviously any time you expose your private life you’re opening up to be commented and judged which is a whole other strain. I think you have to be really solid and I think me and Chris were so not solid.’

Touching on her arrival on the show, Olivia confessed that she thought it would have been a quiet few weeks for her at the start because her boyfriend doesn’t appear on the show.

However what happened was very different, as she revealed: ‘First day of the job it’s all kicked off – I don’t want to give it away but there’s a pool party for Bobby’s birthday. It kicked off from every angle. Sam was kicking off and the young ones were all kicking off.’

Most of the drama set to air later this week surrounded Shelby Tribble and Clelia Theodorou’s recent fall out, which Olivia revealed ‘isn’t nice’ to be in the middle of.

But it appears that despite Shelby being one of Olivia’s longstanding friends, she seems to be edging towards Clelia after hearing comments made behind her back.

She said: ‘Obviously it’s been not nice, they’ve had a terrible falling out. It’s complicated because technically Shelby is my longer standing friend but in light of all of this stuff people have come to me and said I’ve heard Shelby said this and that towards you. So now I’m in a position where I’m like oh okay, so I’ve pulled back until I get the full picture.’

Teasing the upcoming episode of the show, Olivia revealed that she landed herself in trouble for standing up for Shelby’s former flame Tom McDonnell.

She said: ‘Tom was involved but I stuck up for him which obviously didn’t go down that well with the others, but it’s only because he was only saying his piece and he’s only young.’

Olivia already had many firm friends on the show before she joined this series, including Chloe Sims – who she claims is the ‘real’ queen of Essex – Georgia Kousoulou and Pete Wicks.

She admitted that the cast have been welcoming, but revealed that she believes not everyone is that lucky, she said: ‘I know the older mariachis so I don’t have to win them over.

‘But I’ve been lucky cos I know it’s not always like that. I don’t know if its cos I have friendships so I’m not a stranger to them.’

She also mused over whether all of the friendships on the show are real, and said: ‘I’ve only recently joined and there’s a lot going on so it’s hard to tell if they are all really friends or is it just on the surface.

‘It’s too soon for me to say, I think I need more time to tell who is really friends.’

Someone she has grown close to since joining the programme is Yazmin Oukhellou, and Olivia revealed that she is acting ‘strong’ since her break-up from James Lock.

She said: ‘I think she’s a strong girl and she’s trying to put on a brave face but what he’s put her through is absolutely horrendous, it can take its toll on anyone.’

Olivia joked that her advice for moving on to Yaz was to find a new man: ‘I said to her the worst part of it is that one of them will start dating again so I told her if it was me then I’d want to be getting in there first.’

The Surrey native also voiced her opinions on some other relationships on the show, including Chloe and her ex Dan Edgar, and Gemma Collins and James Argent.

When asked about Chloe and Dan, she said: ‘I don’t know about this [if there’s any drama] because at Bobby’s party they didn’t cross paths but it is what it is, it’s done and dusted I think Chloe’s moved on with her life – I didn’t see any hostility.’

However despite Chloe and Dan’s rocky relationship, Olivia revealed that she doesn’t think he is a bad guy – he is just used to having girls ‘throw themselves’ at him.

She said: ‘I think he’s nice, but he’s a good looking boy, he’s used to having girls wrapped around his finger. He’s just not for her. Chloe can fight her own battles though.’

Olivia also briefly mentioned Gemma and Arg’s relationship, which has played out on screen after the last couple of years.

Arg was recently forced to defend himself on Good Morning Britain, after viewers saw him sending Gemma a barrage of nasty texts on her show Diva Forever.

Having her say on the matter, Olivia said: ‘When I watched it was uncomfortable and far from ideal but it’s her show so we’ll see things from her point of view.

‘But I have heard stories that he isn’t very nice to her and that’s a shame but hopefully she can get out of it and find someone who suits her better.’
