She burst onto the scene with her debut album Turn It Up when she was just 18 years old.

And Pixie, 29, looked stylish as ever for her appearance on This Morning on Thursday, donning a pink, blazer-style dress.

Joined on the sofa by her fellow The Voice Kids judge Danny Jones, 33, Pixie added height to her frame with a pair of white heels and completed her look with gold hoop earrings.

The singer imparted words of wisdom to the youngsters who take part in The Voice Kids, saying they should not take rejection to heart.

Pixie explained she faced plenty of knock backs when she started out in the entertainment industry.

Speaking on This Morning with Danny to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Pixie said a ‘no’ from the judges can often be just as valuable as a ‘yes’.

She said: ‘If they don’t get a turn, we still turn around and talk to them so they leave on a high.

‘They’re so young and they’ve got their whole career ahead of them. I think getting a no at this stage is just as valuable as getting a yes. It was for me.’

Pixie believes that learning to be resilient is what has kept her in the business all these years.

She said: ‘I started super young, the same age as these kids. Having that lesson has helped me stay in the business for a long time. I still go for auditions now and I don’t always get it.’

The 2019 series is the first time the show has been open to duo acts to take part which Pixie feels has brought a new dynamic to the competition.

She said: ‘With the duos, you hear a harmony and it’s so beautiful. You have two little ones to work with and they have a relationship and they go through it together and I think that makes it even more special.’

‘I’ve got goosebumps talking about it. Cheesy as it sounds, you feel different things when you have a kid.’

Now in its fourth series, both Pixie and Danny agreed the standard seen among the kids seems to get better each year.

Danny said: ‘Every year we do this we’re blown away,’ while Pixie added: ‘– I keep thinking, where do they find these kids from? Surely we’ve seen it but…’
