Married At First Sight’s Martha Kalifatidis made headlines this week after she had her ‘botched’ lip fillers dissolved.
The MAFS bride is just the latest in a long line of reality stars to regret their plastic surgery in recent years.
Just last year, season five MAFS star Tracey Jewel had her own lip fillers dissolved after being horrified by her physical appearance on the show.

‘[My cosmetic surgeon] dissolved all my fillers and it feels amazing,’ she told Woman’s Day last year.
‘My lips are more liberated and I feel like I’ve got my eyes back, now the puffiness has gone.’
In 2015, Skye Wheatley was left with a ‘double-bubble breast’ following a breast augmentation in Thailand.

The former Big Brother star had the surgery done via Medi Makeovers, a plastic surgery tourism company, which she tried to sue for damages on an episode of Channel 10’s courtroom series Trial By Kyle.
Kyle ruled in favour of Medi Makeovers, however, after Skye was found to have not followed post-surgery instructions, such as wearing a compression bra.
In May, Beverly Hills-based surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth spoke out about the worrying trend of reality stars with ‘inflated lips’.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the CEO of DrHaworth.com also claimed that reality TV stars are sending a harmful message to young fans by excessively plumping up their features.

After being shown before-and-after photos of Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power, Martha Kalifatidis and Ines Basic, Dr. Haworth didn’t hold back.
‘Like a loud out-of-tune instrument in an otherwise beautiful orchestra, these over-inflated lips resemble baboon bottoms in heat and do no one any favours,’ he said.
Speaking about reality stars generally, he said there is a risk they are projecting unrealistic beauty standards on to a young generation of women.
He added: ‘As a renowned lip reshaping expert, I can say it is not just the lips, but also the surgically and “filter enhanced” faces and bodies that send a bad message to young people. It breeds insecurity and bland conformity whereby everyone starts to look the same.’

Martha was recently forced to have her lip fillers dissolved in a graphic video shared to YouTube on Thursday, after her doctor discovered a ‘bubble’ on her upper lip.
‘I want her to dissolve my lip, you can see when I talk this bit of my lip it sort of hangs over my teeth and I really hate that,’ Martha complained before the procedure.
‘It’s a bit lumpy under there. I don’t know what that is… it gets in the way.’
Martha explained that she first had lip fillers done at a different clinic, which left her with a disfigured mouth and she later went to a different clinic in Melbourne, run by Dr Vilma DiMaria, to fix her botched lips.
‘[You’ve got] a bubble that almost looks like a blister,’ Dr DiMaria explained while assessing her mouth.

Within minutes, the painful-looking procedure was complete and Martha was thrilled with end result.
Earlier in the clip, Martha revealed that her doctor has ‘turned her away’ due to her excessive procedures.
‘[Cosmetic work] comes across different on-camera because even when I watched myself [on MAFS] I thought ‘Oh my God I look [botched]’,’ Martha said after her doctor expressed concerns about her on-screen appearance.
