Ross King is left red-faced as he accidentally broadcasts in front of an advert for PROSTITUTES in Las Vegas live on Lorraine

He is used to delivering playful broadcasts from around the world.

Yet Lorraine showbiz host Ross King’s usual segments took a turn for the shocking on Thursday morning’s episode as he was delivering a report from Las Vegas, shortly before a mobile billboard for prostitutes drove past.

The 57-year-old Glaswegian was the subject of a host of tweets, as viewers were left tickled by his lack of awareness shortly before he took to Instagram to poke fun at the gaffe by sharing another rude post.

While broadcasting from Las Vegas, Ross was chatting while the billboard came into sight and stunned viewers – however Lorraine also appeared to have missed it.

Viewers took to Twitter to pen: ‘@reallorraine have I just seen a billboard behind Ross king abvertising naked women sent to your room. OMG…

‘Scott and I just saw this while you were talking to Ross King. Lol I bet that driver just waited for that moment. Haha. So funny… That mobile billboard behind Ross King.’

He then took to Instagram to share an advert for a saucy magic show, with the caption: ‘Live on @ITVLorraine from #lasvegas These chaps not on the show…I asked them to show me a big trick…. @ MGM Grand Las Vegas’.

In another unfortunate gaffe, at February’s Oscars, Ross attempted to nab director Alfonso Cuarón for a chat while broadcasting live into the Lorraine studio.

The Mexican filmmaker – who scooped the gong for Best Director for his film Roma – was spotted by Ross (who had strangely already decided to undo his bowtie) as he sauntered along the red carpet behind him.

Lorraine had barely got a word in when Ross was seen trying to edge backwards to get some screen time with Alfonso. ‘Who have you seen?’ Lorraine asked.

‘Alfonso Cuarón,’ muttered Ross, before shouting across at the director: ‘Hi Alfa! Congratulations! You’re live on British TV! Good to see you. There we are!’

Alfonso shook Ross’ hand without a flash of recognition in his eyes and then turned to some BBC reporters to chat.

Ross then ignored Lorraine and loitered by Alfonso, microphone at the ready, as he gave a lengthy answer to the BBC.

‘Hold on just one second here… there we are… look at this…’ Ross then mumbled to himself as a helpless Lorraine waited around, occasionally saying: ‘I think he’s giving a long answer… they’re having a discussion.’

Ross then stuttered: ‘I think he’s forgotten… I think he’s forgotten his Oscar!’
