Bizarre new dating series The Proposal premiered on Channel Seven on Tuesday.

And on Wednesday, Foxtel’s Gogglebox cast were quick to show voice their disapproval when sitting down to watch the premiere.

After watching the instant proposal dating show, Gogglebox’s Isabelle Silbery said: ‘It’s like every worst dating show ever moulded into one.’

The Proposal sees single contestants go from first impressions with a potential flame to a legitimate marriage proposal in less than an hour.  

Di Kershaw agreed, adding that the format was ‘one of the worst of these (type of) shows’. 

 Googlebox’s funnyman Adam Symon didn’t hold back when the show’s host Luke Jacobz questioned whether one of the contestants had found ‘true love’.

‘True love?! True love?! Who are we? Are we this stupid?’ Adam complained.

 Adam’s remarks were regarding a contestant named Jess Nooy.

The brunette didn’t hold back in her quest for love, grilling the men about their sex lives and even asking a male stripper to perform for her. 

 But despite some fans calling the program a ‘hot mess’, Jess has already proved critics wrong.

This week, the single mother  revealed she and paramedic Nathan Parks are still very much together and in love, five months after filming their episode . 

The Proposal airs Tuesdays from 8.30PM on Channel Seven
