Suranne Jones teams up with Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham-Carter to record Children in Need album

Suranne Jones teamed up with fellow actresses Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham-Carter to record an exciting new Children in Need project at the famous Abbey Road studios in London earlier this week.

The Gentleman Jack actress, 40, has lent her vocals to charity album Got It Covered alongside The Favourite’s Olivia, 45, and The King’s Speech star Helena, 53, ahead of the BBC fundraising show later this year.

A special 60-minute programme is set to follow the leading stars’ entire recording process and document the challenges they face when showcasing their musical talent to a series of bespoke tracks.

Earlier in the week, screen star Suranne was pictured catching up with her fellow thespians for a day of recording at the prestigious music studios.

Opting for a summery display, the former Corrie actress donned a sleeveless navy maxi dress, teamed with a pair of white canvas trainers.

The Doctor Foster star displayed her flair for fashion in the accessory department as she donned a selection of gold jewellery, while shielding her eyes from the sun in animal print shades.

With her cropped tresses styled into a straight fashion, Suranne complemented her naturally radiant complexion with minimal make-up.

Meanwhile, Olivia looked equally chic for a day out in the sun as she donned a sophisticated black shirt, tied with a pair of matching trousers and grey trainers.

The Peep Show star, who became the new queen of Hollywood after scooping the Best Actress prize at this year’s Oscars ceremony, kept accessories to a minimum and added a pop of colour to her appearance with a slick of red lipstick.

Big Fish actress Helena exhibited her signature kooky style sense as she donned a hot pink tiered maxi skirt, which she grouped with grey trainers and a black sweatshirt.

Accessorising with cat-eye sunglasses, the brunette swept her tresses into a messy updo, and enhanced her youthful-looking visage with neutral-toned make-up.

The programme will also highlight on other activities funded by BBC Children in Need, with a selection of the stars visiting projects to see first hand the difference their support will make to young lives.

On the album, Mel Balac, Executive Producer and Creative Director at BBC Studios, said: ‘Many of the actors have said trying to nail the role of recording artist has been their most challenging role yet.

‘The personally curated playlist that is being created in aid of Pudsey will be big on musical surprises and laughs, while highlighting the fantastic charities and causes BBC Children in Need supports. Bring on the drama!’

BBC Children in Need relies on the generosity and creativity of the thousands of supporters and fundraisers who raise millions of pounds for the charity every year.

To date, the UK public has raised over £1 billion for children and young people facing disadvantage across the UK.
