Taylor Swift announces her new album Lover will come with a vibrant and colorful clothing line in collaboration with Stella McCartney
Taylor Swift’s new album Lover is going to be more than just an album.
While whipping fans into an absolute frenzy over the announcement of her new tracks, and possibly breaking Instagram in the process, Taylor Swift revealed that she’s also going to debut new clothing line.
During an Instagram Live stream on Thursday, the 29-year-old hitmaker shared that Lover would come with a collab with high-end eco-conscious clothing designer Stella McCartney.

‘She’s been a friend for a really long time, and also just a woman I respect so much,’ Swift said in the video.
Swift has been sporting a lot of McCartney’s looks due to their bright colors and says she is excited about this new partnership.
‘I respect what she creates, how she creates it. There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs, and I’ve worn a lot of her stuff recently.’
The ME! singer says she will give more details on collaborations and the album on her Instagram but did share that the designer is taking inspiration from her songs.

‘She’s heard the new album, and this new collaboration is inspired by the Lover album.
Adding: ‘I’m so excited about that, and really excited that she would want to collaborate in this way.’
While Taylor was streaming on the social media platform, Instagram temporarily crashed, though the star denied it was her fault.

Taylor revealed on her Instagram page that she will be releasing her music video for You Need To Calm Down this coming Monday.

Aptly released during Pride month, Taylor’s new song comes on the heels of her endorsement of the pro-LGBTQ Equality Act.
The bill, which would add LGBTQ protections to the Civil Rights Act, has passed in the House Of Representatives and is headed to the Senate.
Taylor released an open letter at the start of June urging Lamar Alexander, a GOP Senator from her state of residence Tennessee, to vote in favor of the bill.

The release of the single saw a spike in donations to the LGBTQ advocacy group GLAAD (Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), TMZ reports.
One of Taylor’s lyrics cheekily referred to the organization: ”Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?’
She herself gave a ‘very generous’ sum to GLAAD before You Need To Calm Down was released, the group revealed.
