In April Tess celebrated her 50th birthday with a family break to The Maldives, and during her break the star took to Instagram to reflect on getting older.
The British presenter revealed that maturing makes a person more grateful for who they are and who they love rather than material things in her lengthy post.
‘I got to celebrate my (biiiig!) birthday soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful Maldives; which felt like the perfect place to also celebrate feeling another year older, wiser and more grateful,’ she penned.
‘Because as you mature you understand more that it’s not about what you own- or what you look like but so much MORE about the people you love and the person you’ve become.

The idyllic birthday getaway came after a tough few weeks for her and her family after she revealed that she accidentally ran over and killed their Maltese Shih Tzu, Minnie, leaving her ‘beyond heartbroken.’
The accident is said to have occurred after builders left the door of her £3.5million Buckinghamshire mansion open, allowing the dog to escape.
