‘We are so, so excited!’ Thinkergirls host Stacey June is finally pregnant after a difficult IVF journey – as she reveals how her test delivered a false negative before she missed her period

She is one of Australia’s most popular podcast and radio personalities and has made no secret of her fertility struggles in the past.

And now, The Thinkergirls’ Stacey June has revealed is finally pregnant after a long and difficult IVF journey with her partner Ben Jenkins.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the former KIIS FM star announced that her recent ‘assisted reproductive treatment’ had been a success.

Stacey shared a photo of an at-home pregnancy test, which displayed one solid line on the results screen, meaning ‘not pregnant’.

However, it turns out the test was incorrect.

She explained: ‘After so much heartbreak and a constant prepare for the worst I did a test… and broke the news to Ben I could only see one line …we were exhausted.’

Stacey went on to say that she was disappointed by the result and made plans for another round of IVF.

She added: ‘I cried. [Ben] wanted to be alone. Standard play for us. We kept telling ourselves, we know more info, it’s leading us to the next step, we’ll get there.’

But after the negative result, Stacey missed her period. Confused by what was happening to her body, she then decided to give the pregnancy test another go.

‘Turns out there were two lines on this weird stick all along, we were in total protection mode and our next step is in fact A BABY!’ she revealed.

‘Our #bejubaby has been growing and growing and we are expecting to meet them early next year!’ Stacey added.

‘We are so, so excited. It took me a little while to receive it all and now that I am, I can feel the joy we worked so hard for already.’

Stacey went on to praise Ben, who is a creative director, describing him as ‘the best father I could have chosen for my children.’

She added: ‘Another dream is here, not a magic wand in site. Just maybe a needle or two, lots of love, hard work and support.’

Stacey’s good news comes after she and Ben revealed earlier this month that they were struggling to have a baby after Ben’s prostate cancer treatment.

Speaking to ABC Life about their most recent insemination, Stacey fought back tears as she described how the treatment itself had become less and less special.

‘Hopefully this is the conception of a baby,’ she said at the time.
