TOWIE‘s Dan Edgar will reportedly take a break for the show after choosing Amber Turner over his ex Chloe Sims.
The reality star, 29, was caught in a love triangle with fan favourite Chloe and his current girlfriend Amber during the most recent series of the show.
After choosing to get back with Amber, show bosses are apparently keen for an on-screen showdown between Dan and Chloe following their rocky break up.

However Dan is supposedly wants to focus on his relationship with Amber rather than getting caught up in the drama on TOWIE, as some members of the cast are apparently ‘not speaking to him’ at the moment.
A source told The Sun Online: ‘He’s considering taking a break from the show to let the dust settle.
They added: ‘He isn’t sure he wants to go back and face the wrath of everyone – he’d rather enjoy his relationship with Amber instead.

MailOnline have contacted reps for ITV and Dan.
A representative for Dan declined to comment on the story.
Although Dan’s future on the show remains unclear it has been reported that he has previously met with producers to discuss his upcoming story lines.
Happy: This comes as Amber, 25, insisted things with Dan are better than ever following his ‘mid-life’ crisis of bedding Chloe
Reflecting on why she believes Dan has changed, she told The Sun: ‘He’s 30 next year and that puts a lot of stuff into perspective. He’s not someone in their mid-20s anymore, he’s mature and serious about life.’
She continued: ‘Obviously joking around, but he has had his mid-life crisis already. Now he’s such a changed person.’
Gushing over Dan, the busty star said she is ‘excited for a future with him’ because they are now ‘a strong couple’.
Amber and Dan have been dating on and off since joining the show in 2017, with their romance beginning in controversy as she was dating long-time beau Jamie Reed at the time.
The couple then called it it quits last year citing incompatibility issues – a month after Dan’s ex Kate Wright got engaged to Rio Ferdinand – but Amber then revealed that they were still sleeping together as she made her return to the Essex show in May.
Amber had been axed from TOWIE earlier this year, but insiders revealed exclusively to MailOnline that show bosses had been sympathetic to her break-up with Dan.
While TOWIE representatives confirmed she was told her contract for the coming series had been terminated, she returned just weeks ago.
Rocky romance: Amber and Dan have been dating on and off since joining the show in 2017
Amber’s return came as she set the record straight on her romance with Dan – who was at the time pursuing fellow TOWIE star Chloe – much to the chagrin of their co-stars.
She confronted Dan on the show, who tried to soften the blow by presenting her with a pornstar martini as he then went on to confirm he bedded Chloe only 48 hours after begging Amber to rekindle their relationship.
In response to his admission, Amber said: ‘I feel like a fool, clearly what you said to me was b******, if you loved me you wouldn’t do that.’
Defending his previous hope of getting back with Amber, Dan exclaimed: ‘Me coming over to you, apologising saying sorry and wanting to get back together, it was true at the time.’
Venting her feelings, the bombshell then branded him a ‘gutless liar’ and shared that she questions if he was faithful when they were together.
Ending the conversation in a dramatic conclusion, she revealed that for once and for all she will not get back with Dan.
Earlier on in the episode, Dan met with the other woman in his life – Chloe, and the mother-of-one remained calm and collected whilst Dan documented how he played both girls and how the situation allowed him to learn a lesson.
Ensuring she let Dan know how much he had hurt her, she deadpan told him: ‘I’m glad breaking my heart gave you a good lesson.’
Later on, speaking with Pete Wicks, James Locke and Georgia Kousoulou, Chloe told them she cleared the air with Dan and she is still friends with him.
Reflecting on the love triangle, Chloe slammed Amber for pretending not to know about her and Dan were together as she said: ‘She knew for a fact and now by me keeping it secret she has played the victim.’
Elsewhere in the show, Amber’s girl gang, Chloe Meadows, Courtney Green and Shelby Tribble discussed the messy situation.
Not holding back Chloe jibed: ‘He his going to Amber telling her what she wants to hear, going to Chloe telling her what she wants to hear. And the worst part of all of it is that they are like brainwashed by him.’

However, despite their falling out, Chloe revealed that the door is still wide open for Dan to pursue her romantically as she confirmed she loved the star in last month’s finale of the ITVBe show.
Despite Dan openly admitting he was two-timing the blonde with his ex Amber earlier on in the series, Chloe was not shy in opening up her heart to him once again during a heartfelt conversation.
The mother-of-one and the hunk discussed the ups and downs they have encountered over the past few weeks – and Dan praised Chloe for being so understanding after he called time on their fling.
In response, the busty blonde told him: ‘I do love you.’
However, now that Dan and Amber are giving things a go – it is unlikely that Chloe will get another chance with the Essex player.
