Despite the efforts of Australian Mat Ryan, Brighton were no match for the free flowing football of Manchester City who are the first team since Manchester United to defend their title.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, their 2-0 win over Wolves proved immaterial, finishing in second spot.

After hearing the results, he shared another hilarious snap of himself wearing a Liverpool F.C. jersey and a scarf, looking a little bewildered.

‘Yeaaaah so that’s why preemptive tatty’s are ill advised,’ his caption read.
